The operating scenario
Connectivity between a control centre and a remote facility becomes intermittent. Instructions may arrive with stale evidence or with permissions that do not match the affected equipment or operation.
The proposed authority boundary
Evaluate the requested action against the locally established authority for that asset. Specify the paths through which remote instructions enter the control system and the conditions under which local operation remains authorised.
What the partner evaluates
- Authorised local and remote operations remain available under the agreed conditions.
- Requests outside the permitted asset or operation scope are refused.
- Records can be reconciled after communications recover.
- Safety interlocks and local control responsibilities remain effective across the integrated command paths.
Platform responsibilities
The facility retains its process safety, physical interlocks, sensors, power resilience and emergency procedures. A command-acceptance boundary does not by itself guarantee plant availability or safe operation.
An application and evaluation scenario. No installed utility deployment or sector certification is claimed.
